Healthy Baker began in July 2004 as a project with the Baker County Health Advisory Council, the Baker County Health Department, and the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, Inc. to find out the community’s views on its health and services through surveys and focus groups. In 2008 we engaged with ERCEGI, a nonprofit research and development organization that specilizes in helping communities reach their fullest potential.
Multiple community input sessions collected feedback to integrate the community's views regarding what is important to the residents who reside in Baker County. These sessions helped us pick key health issues that face Baker County.
The Healthy Baker Initiative will provide the community with information and resources to empower residents to improve their health and well-being.
